From my experience Firefox has been one of the least secure browsers I’ve used, probably due to its much larger market share. I haven’t gotten any malware etc. when using Chrome or Safari, but I do every couple months with Firefox.f

Everyone keeps forgetting that as IE is the most used (probably not by direct choice) browser it is the one that will get the most direct attacks. Why hack chrome when less than 8% of internet user use it? Fire fox is gaining popularity and you will see an increase in attacks and security patches just like IE.
Intelegent use of the internet and the correct security settings / add ons (add blocking etc) / fire wall and virus scanner is the best way to stay secure online.
