Mozilla Firefox 4.0.1 for Android - Release Notes

Take your Firefox anywhere. Firefox for Android is built on the same technology platform as Firefox 4 for desktop computers, just optimized for browsing on a mobile device. What's New in this Firefox 4.0.1

    In this minor release, we did not add any visible features but fixed some important bugs, leading to higher stability and performance and to more consistency in localized version of Firefox for mobile. We also resolved issues that may have led to crashes on certain devices before:
  • Various Crash fixes (Bug 643307, Bug 644012, Bug 626051 - Cyanogen Mod)
  • Bug 644735 - Fixing localization issues: some strings are too long in UI
  • Bug 643836 - Smoother panning and less checkerboarding: displayport update
  • Bug 644613 - Virtual Keyboard issue
  • Bug 643038 - Layout fixes to about:firstrun page
  • Bug 649115 - Spark Campaign - keep link on Start page through May 31
  • No user-visible features were added in this release. We are constantly working on improving performance and device compatibility, while reducing memory and CPU usage with every new release. Find a full list of all features at
